HEREFORD HERITAGE DAY
Saturday 23rd July 2016 was Hereford Heritage day, where some of the history of this proud city came to life. From re-enactments of the English Civil War, to scenes of the 1st. and 2nd. world wars. There were several stalls ranging from antiques valuations by Kate Bliss, to hot dog stands and ice cream vans. Most important with regard to this website, was the inclusion of a number of stalls by Herefordshire Lore, Dinedor History Group and our own Rotherwas Munitions Group. The weather was kind to us, and many people filled in or took away hard copies of the proforma found on this website.
A photo of our stand at the Hereford Heritage day on the Castle Green, with our Chairman and Sercretary of our Munitions Group. We were honoured by a visit from the Mayor of Hereford, who seemed to take a keen interest in our work.
Security on the day was at its highest with the arrival of the local Executioner, complete with his tools of the trade!
